Budgeting Your Spring Break

Quote of the Day: "What happened on Spring Break, stays at Spring Break"

Ah yes the very infamous Spring Break is finally here and you got a week to take off.

Well like any so called respectable student, you're going to end up finding yourself in a ton of bad decisions you will have to make in a week and then quickly forget about them all.

It's all about going big or going home well in our case, school, but still what if you're broke?

You're going to be alright don't you worry, just trust me and while we are at it, let's review some ideas for maintaining an affordable Spring Break experience.

House Party:

BRING THE PARTY OVER TO YOU!

Who say's you need to travel in order to enjoy your break? Wouldn't you rather make perfectly bad decisions at home or at a friend's house without running the highest risk possible? (THERE IS STILL RISK IN THIS TIP)

For some this could prove to be the cheapest activity because it involves pitching in for drinks, foods, and whatever else a party needs to be successful.

Try to be the friend who throws that awesome get-together while you know at least your friends or strangers are safe at your house versus being arrested in public and becoming lost.

Catch Up On Favorite TV Shows:

Now with this break, you could setup a day to catch up on favorite shows you rarely have time for.

This may only cost you about $10 if you are using a streaming service but you could save that by asking a friend to lend you their info or just by doing a trial you plan on cancelling.

I am sure that everyone has done the last suggestion of a trial but you may also check with your local listing provider to see if they will be offering a marathon of the show you are urging for.

Catching Up On Assignments and Errands:

This next tip can prove to be risky and it's not because you won't be enjoying yourself but it's how you spent your Spring Break.

Using your time to catch up on assignments is just like treating your break like any other school week minus you showing up to the class. Right away with that factor, you save on gas and whatever you would've spent to maintain your hunger at school. (SAVING$$$!)

But honestly it won't hurt to review the syllabus and look for upcoming work that could get knocked out of the way on the spare time given. Also running some errands could prove to beneficial since you can finally get stuff done you normally never have time for.

Remember that Spring Break is supposed to be about relaxation, you can make it productive by using your time wisely in order to be better benefited in the long run.
